Covenant had the Flag Hoisting Ceremony and Prayer for the Nation on Aug 15, 2019 to mark the 72nd Anniversary of Indian Independence.
Pastor George hoisted the flag at 10.00 am and thereafter we had a Prayer for the Nation till 12.00 noon.
During the prayer, Ps spoke on the importance of praying for the nation, our President, Prime Minister, ministers of the Union Cabinet, State Governments, etc. He shared from Proverbs 14:34-35 and 29:1-14. It is righteousness that exalts a nation. We need to pray for our leaders who are in authority that they would rule our land in righteousness and justice. Pray for our nation.
